HR Compliance & Services Manager

The duties of this position will be to provide a HR leadership role that will continue to assist in meeting the human resources needs in support of the Jackson Companies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner across the Jackson Companies Leadership and other HR, operational and third-party colleagues to meet the ever-changing needs of human resources.
  • Develop, implement and train on personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbooks.
  • Conduct recruitment for office and various other positions within the Jackson Companies and ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliant, accurate and timely employment background checks and other employment related certifications and processes.
  • Investigate and advise on both complex and simple employees issues, harassment and policy and procedure violation allegations.
  • Monitor, research and provide communication on employment and federal, state, city and county compliance issues for all HR areas of Company operations.
  • Vendor management and administration of the Company Drug Free Work Place policy and drug testing administration.
  • Supervisor of HR Associate
  • Unemployment process and management of the unemployment third party vendor.
  • Completion of the implementation and administration of the applicant tracking system currently being implemented.
  • Maintain effective knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce, including changes, testing, verification of data integrity, etc. in conjunction with other in HR, the Payroll and IT departments.
  • Look for ways to implement effective automation and ease manual administration of processes in support of business operations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field with 4-7 years previous HR experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • PHR or SPHR preferred, not required.
  • Previous experience with administration of drug testing programs, Ceridian Dayforce, and HR administration.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, DOT, FMCSA, FCRA
  • Must be a team player and maintain strict levels of confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail oriented, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Supervisory skills
