Jacksons gifts domestic violence coalitions a check in the amount of $162,808

In the 12th anniversary year of the “Give the Gift of Peace” campaign, Jacksons Food Stores and its customers donated a total of $162,808 ($81,404 from customer donations and a dollar for dollar match by Jacksons) as part of the commitment to create compassionate communities.

Since the inception of the campaign, over $1,050,000 has been raised in total. The campaign ran from Thanksgiving through Christmas Day. Jacksons sold paper doves in $1, $5 and $10 increments in all of their stores in all five states of operation to raise funds for the prevention and response to domestic violence in our communities.

“Living a life free of violence is a basic right for everyone and it goes against our values when women and girls are abused,” said Idaho Coalition Executive Director Kelly Miller. “Ending violence in all its forms is the responsibility of every one of us; and because of this generosity from Jacksons and our fellow Idahoans, we are to help enhance safety for victims of domestic violence and ensure systemic change in our communities.”
