BOISE (April 15, 2022) – Jacksons Food Stores Inc. (Jacksons) has been a supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs across the Western United States for 10 years. In 2021, Jacksons raised $250,000 for the organization with $83,016 benefiting local Treasure Valley Boys & Girls Clubs.
“We are glad to have an Idaho grown business such as Jacksons support our youth in Ada County and beyond,” said Colleen Braga, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County. “This donation provides kids a safe place to go after school, where they have caring adults to mentor them, free healthy meals and snacks, and programs that support their social, physical and academic development.”
During the 2021 holiday season, Jacksons conducted an in-store campaign at all 300 stores encouraging customers to donate to their local Boys & Girls Clubs at the point of purchase. Jacksons shoppers donated a little over $116,000 with Jacksons making a dollar for dollar match bringing the total to $232,635. Additionally, co-branded water bottles were sold throughout the year with $0.25 of each purchase included bringing the donation total to $250,000. Funds will be distributed to the Boys & Girls Clubs in the neighborhoods in which they were raised.

In addition to this donation, Jacksons is also a sponsor of the upcoming Wild West Auction event on April 29th at the Boise Centre.
